Sam Richardson (born January 12, 1984) is a Ghanaian-American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for playing Richard Splett in the HBO political comedy series Veep (2012–19), co-creating and co-starring in the Comedy Central comedy series Detroiters (2017–18) alongside Tim Robinson
William Chapman Nyaho earned his degrees from St. Peter’s College, Oxford University, the Eastman School of Music and the University of Texas at Austin. He also studied at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, Switzerland. Chapman Nyaho currently serves as Vice-President for DEI at Music Teachers National Association. Legendary Pianist!
Idrissa Akuna Elba OBE (born 6 September 1972) is an English actor, rapper, singer, and DJ. An alumnus of the National Youth Music Theatre in London, he is known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series The Wire (2002–2004), DCI John Luther in the BBC One series Luther (2010–2019), and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013).
Cynthia Addai-Robinson is an English-born actress. She was born in London; her mother is from Ghana and her father is an United States citizen. She moved to US when she was four, and was raised by her mother in a suburb of Washington, DC. She is a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD, and studied at the Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater.
Joseph Nana Kwame Awuah-Darko,In 2020, Awuah-Darko founded Ghana's first independent artist residency programme, Noldor Artist Residency. The idea behind the residency is to invite one emerging African artist each autumn to the art studio space and retreat in Accra, Ghana and to help these trained African artists who have limited access to artistic resources nurture their skills technically, whilst supporting them to flourish both amongst the growing local collector base and on the global contemporary art scene.
International athlete Akwasi Frimpong made history in 2018 when he became the first Skeleton athlete from Ghana. Akwasi was just the second Winter Olympian from Ghana. In 2020 he became the first skeleton athlete from Africa to win an elite skeleton race sanctioned by the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation in Park City, Utah. Now, Akwasi wants to use his passion and his own inspirational story to represent not just a country, but a continent.
Francis Ngannou was born and raised in the village of Batié, Cameroon. He lived in poverty and had little formal education growing up. Ngannou's parents divorced when he was six years old, and he was sent to live with his aunt. At 10 years old, Ngannou started working in a sand quarry in Batié because of a lack of funds. As a youngster, he was approached by several gangs in his village to join them. However, Ngannou refused and instead decided to use his father's negative reputation as a street fighter as motivation to do something positive and pursue boxing.
Clare-Hope Ashitey (born 12 February 1987) is a Ghanaian-British actress. She attended the Centre Stage School of Performing Arts, Southgate while being educated at The Latymer School, located in the Edmonton area of London, for seven years. She took a gap year between school and university to work on the film
Arthur "Codjoe" Brossier discovered Muay Thai boxing thanks to his older brother. He began training at the Muay Thai gym in Ezanville, warmly welcomed by Kader Beliouz. Quickly, Arthur fell in love with this discipline and decided to enter competitions. The results were unequivocal; he had a flawless junior career with 14 fights and 14 victories. At the age of 18, he was offered a professional contract in Thailand after graduating, but he chose to continue the journey with his coach, Kader Beliouz.
Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua OBE (born 15 October 1989) is a British professional boxer. He is a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, having held the World Boxing Association (WBA) (Super version), International Boxing Federation (IBF), and World Boxing Organization (WBO) titles twice between 2016 and 2021. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) title twice during that reign. At regional level, he held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016.
